Pembroke, ON (June 22, 2022) – The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s 38-foot SPCA Cell Animal Wellness Providers unit is in Renfrew County this week to host a spay/neuter clinic for cats from underserved pet households.
The SPCA Cell Animal Wellness Providers unit can be offering spay/neuter surgical procedures from June 22-24 at Pembroke Legion Department 72, situated at 202 Pembroke St. E. This cell clinic occasion was made potential due to the generosity of Pet Valu Pembroke, Pet Valu Petawawa, USW Native 1568, USW Native 4096 and Valley Fairy Tails, who sponsored the occasion.

Due to a Pet Valu “Companions for Change™” grant of $175,000, the Ontario SPCA launched its SPCA Cell Animal Wellness Providers Unit in 2019, delivering wellness examinations and spay/neuter providers to underserved communities. With the assistance of beneficiant donations from devoted pet lovers throughout the nation, since 2018, Pet Valu’s “Companions for Change” grants have helped animal rescues and charities throughout Canada obtain bigger capital initiatives. Along with “Companions for Change” grants, annually, Pet Valu hosts June Pet Appreciation Month and October “Companions for Change” occasions, which sees all shops elevating funds, accumulating product donations and internet hosting Nationwide Adoption Weekends to help tons of of local people rescues.
